Fast sourdough flatbreads…

How about some fast tasty sourdough flatbreads? These can be used as naan breads, wraps, manaeesh, and easy fast pizza bases. They are great eaten immediately, or can be reheated and refreshed perfectly in the toaster!

You can feed your starter for the job, or use discard if you’ve been making a new starter. The starter provides flavour and texture in these flatbreads rather than lift.

Have fun! Let me know if you try them xx

      1. Thank you! I can’t wait to try these!

I have another question that has nothing to do with this post. I have been wanting to ask about clean up. I dread clean up after feeding my starter or mixing dough—-sometimes I just let it dry on the container and then get it off. Your videos and pictures all look so clean—-how do you do that? Do you have many blobs to clean up off the containers?

      2. Fab 🤩🤩🤩

I don’t have many blogs at all, I’m fastidious about keeping things tidy, I scrape down my starter jars and mixing bowls are I use them, I wiper off any excess on utensils, and then when I need to clean things I soak them in COLD water to remove any excess.

  2. Hi Elaine – just made a mix for these & it’s come out very dry, almost like a pastry crumb – is that right or shall I add a bit more yogurt? (Both my starter and yogurts were quite thick.)

      1. Hi Elaine – well I added another teaspoon of both starter and yogurt but I don’t think I kneaded it well enough: they didn’t puff up and were very heavy.  However – I will try them again! Happy ‘whispering’, Joy
